Veteran Elder

This two-dimensional wall hanging was created to honor my father and display his Air Force wings. I chose the eagle as a central symbol—representing both our cultural heritage and our country. As the fiercest bird of the skies, the eagle embodies strength and resilience, just like my dad. When viewing this piece, I hope you feel the deep pride he carries for both his nation and his lineage. The inclusion of real eagle feathers—sacred in my culture and legally reserved for members of federally recognized tribes—adds profound meaning. Through this work, I aim to express the pride I have in my father and everything he represents.
